Template only — not legal advice. This document ships with the FoundryLume theme as a starting structure. Have a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction review and rewrite it before you publish.
1. Agreement
By accessing this website or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. The service
We provide a hosted software service as described on this site. We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces functionality on a paid plan, we will give at least 30 days’ notice.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@example.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or help anyone else do so
- upload malicious code or attempt to breach our security
- reverse engineer the service except where that right cannot be excluded
- resell or sublicense access without a written agreement
- place an unreasonable load on the infrastructure
5. Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices exclude applicable taxes. Upgrades are prorated; downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time and will retain access until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display it solely to provide the service. We do not use customer content to train machine learning models.
8. Our intellectual property
The service, its software, design and documentation remain our property. Nothing here transfers ownership.
9. Availability
We aim for high availability and publish an uptime commitment on qualifying plans. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practicable.
10. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate for material breach that remains uncured 30 days after written notice. On termination you may export your data for 30 days.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Replace this clause with the jurisdiction that actually applies to you.
13. Contact
